Hurriyat activist shot dead in Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar: Unknown gunmen on Saturday shot a Hurriyat activist in Bomai village Kashmir’s Sopore distict. He was rushed to Sopore hospital where he was decalred brought dead.

The gunmen fired at Hurriyat activist Hakim-ul-Rehman Sultani from close range in Bomai area. Hakeem was affiliated with Hurriyat (G) led by Syed Ali Geelani and was recently released from jail.

Hakim-ul-Rehman Sultani, son of Moulvi Nizamudin outside his home in Reshipora Bomai where he was shot by Unknown gunmen.

In another case, a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militant was killed while a policeman was injured in an exchange of fire after ultras attacked a police post in Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir.
